DLA Piper construction disputes partner joins Provenio Litigation LLP

Provenio Litigation LLP has continued its expansion by welcoming construction disputes specialist Daniel Jude to the firm.

Daniel joins Provenio Litigation LLP as a consultant from DLA Piper, where he was a partner in the Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations Practice based in Dubai.

Daniel specialises in contentious construction and engineering matters on behalf of contractors, sub-contractors, employers and professionals in all sectors of the construction and engineering industry including power, civils, building, rail, nuclear, process and mechanical and electrical engineering.

His experience spans a range of different forums including international arbitration, litigation, adjudication, mediation and other forms of ADR.  Current instructions include high value ICC arbitration proceedings in respect of the construction of a LPG Extraction and Fractionation plant and storage facility in Oman.

Since 2012, Daniel's practice has primarily been based in the Middle East where he has led teams (including cross-office teams) and co-ordinated with clients and experts in complex construction disputes involving multiple issues, typically with a value in the hundreds of millions of dollars (USD).

Daniel is a member of the Society of Construction Law (Gulf) and a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has also been named as an 'Accritas Stars' Lawyer based purely on independently rated client feedback.

Welcoming Daniel to Provenio Litigation LLP, founder and managing partner, Mark Goodwin said: “We are thrilled to welcome Daniel to Provenio.

“With over two decades of experience dealing with construction and engineering disputes he is regarded as a leader in his field, both within the UK and internationally. We are looking forward to developing our construction disputes practice with Daniel’s expert guidance.”

Said Daniel Jude: “I know Mark and the Provenio team really well from my time at DLA Piper in Liverpool.  They’re outstanding lawyers and great people.

“By attracting high value domestic and international instructions, Provenio has established itself as one the country’s leading litigation boutiques.  It’s the perfect fit for my practice as I return to the UK.”

Provenio Litigation LLP was launched in 2019 by a team of senior lawyers from DLA Piper to advise on high value and complex business litigation. Led by Mark Goodwin (Hall of Fame, Legal 500) the team has decades of experience at DLA Piper and is well placed to support clients across the UK and internationally.
